Filter Maintenance
|
- The filter is CRUCIAL for the quality of the water. Dirty or worn out filters will mean adding more chemicals as well as puting undue strain on the pump system possibly shortening the life of the Hot Tub equipment.
- Hot Tub filters are made of a polyester micro-pore filter media. They are designed to trap small contaminants in the water to enhance your bathing .
- Sapphire Spas filters are a genuine 100sq ft or (2 x 50 sq ft cartridges ) designed to give the maximum area for collection from the water.
- It is recommended that you wash the filters every week (more often when the Spa is used a lot. Use a garden hose or put underneath a tap and wash through the pleats removing all particles of dirt.
- At least every three months and EVERY water change, the filters should be rinsed as above and then following instructions, be soaked in a filter-cleaning product.
- It is better if you have a spare set of filters when you are soaking the used filters. Then you will never have wait to enjoy your Hot Tub, this also makes the filters last lomger whilst they dry out.
DO NOT::
- Use laundry detergents or any house cleaners on any of your filters.
- Use a dishwasher or power washer to clean cartridge filters. It could daamage the micro pores in the filters.

Water Care Maintenance |
Basically there are three areas of water maintenance you need to adhere to:
- Chemical Balance
- Sanitizing
- Filtraation
FILTRATION:
Filtration is automated by your control system and will give you the required filtration to keep your Hot Tub at the correct cleanliness levels.
SANITISATION:
Sanitization is essential for all bathers in your Hot Tub. You should regularly monitor and check the levels in your Spa. The sanitizer will chemically kill bacteria and any viruses present in the water.
Many sanitation choices are available. When you ordered your Sapphire Spa you will already have sanitization method and probably ozone in addition to conventional chemicals.
CHEMICAL BALANCING:
Chemical balancing is essential for the overall quality of your water.
Correct balance determines the effectiveness of your sanitizer so it can work at its maximum. It can also minimize scale build up and corrosion. Regular testing and dosing is essential.
BASIC CHEMICAL SAFETY:
Basic chemical safety is essential so please read all the labels on each chemical you use or store.
