When you pour a cup of Aquafinesse into your Hot Tub it instantly begins to thin the " skin " of the water, this is the surface layer of the water that settles against the inner walls and pipes of your Hot Tub and is the place that Bacteria create their "Bio-Film" to multiply in, so quite simply the bacteria will not be able to settle anywhere, therefore unable to Multiply.

The second function of Aquafinesse is to coagulate Bacteria. Normally Bacteria are so small they pass straight through your filter but with Aquafinesse any Bacteria brought in to your Hot Tub from an outside source will be killed by the Ozonator which are fitted to all Sapphire Spas.
